Students in grades 9 and 10 went on a field trip to Laugardalshöll to the exhibition My Future 2025. The exhibition is held every other year and was this year's was the most impressive so far. The goal of the trip was to give students the opportunity to learn about different professions and the educational offerings of upper secondary schools. At Laugardalshöll, 24 upper secondary schools were presenting their educational offerings, both academic and practical.
Academic and career counselors, teachers and student representatives from the various schools were on site and answered questions about their program, social life and admission requirements. At the same time, the Icelandic Industrial and Technical Competition took place, which is usually held every two years and brings together 150 students in young people from all over the country for the chance to compete and become the best in their chosen skill or profession on a national level.
Students traveled to Laugardalshöll in buses accompanied by teachers, academic and career counselors and school employees.
Our students made good use of the time, asking questions and setting a good example of keen interest and behaviour. It was a great trip for everyone.
